Passion for delivering Business Value through Projects

In traditional project management, the elements of 'cost', 'scope', and 'time' are often viewed as variables. In agile methodologies, 'features' are considered variable. Project execution is inherently dynamic, requiring an approach that accommodates constant change without deviating from the primary objectives. However, neither of these methodologies adequately addresses the organizational objectives or requirements necessary for project success.

 

Recognizing this gap, we developed the GRAIL framework for Portfolios, Programs, and Projects. Success must be evaluated holistically, considering fundamentals such as company strategy, user adoption, ROI, resource utilization, and business value post-execution. Portfolios, Programs, and Projects should be viewed not merely as deliverables but as vehicles for delivering business value. Success should be measured by their contribution to business value. Delivering projects 'on time', 'within budget', and 'within scope' can still result in failure if they do not add business value, such execution is aimless.

 

Much has been written and taught about delivery methodologies, but in isolation, they offer no real value. Executing the wrong project, even if done perfectly according to current methodologies, should not be deemed a success. Panoptic Advisory adopts a holistic approach, ensuring that the delivery of portfolios, programs, and projects genuinely pursues and achieves business value.
